In my hometown there lived a man who when you said the words "Dum Dum", would magically pull one from his sport coat pocket and present it to you. We recently lost Mr. Ted Spangler, but the memory of his car full of candy, and his Dum Dum offerings will never fade. This painting honors him, and his family who have created candy in Bryan, Ohio, for over 100 years.
