You have seen the Blue Devil NUT before, but as loyal to your kids' school mascots as one can be, this guy needed some happy tweaking. How to make a Devil look more festive for the holiday was the question??? Here he is, blue devil, or soldier or king, he is still all for fun and is part of the nutcracker tradition.   The Norseman Nut accompanies him, even if they are cross-town rivals. -Its' all Grosse Pointe!

Commemorating the U.S. Navy SEAL Program

I was invited by Cushman and Wakefield Real Estate Solutions, Chicago, IL to create a U.S. Navy SEAL commemorative nutcracker in celebration of U.S. Navy SEAL's 50th Anniversary and in support of the families and the remarkable men who proudly call themselves SEALS.

The original artwork was subsequently offered as a gift at auction in Chicago, to benefit the SEAL-NSW Family Foundation. Additional SEAL giclees are available.

It is with highest regard and respect for the honored men and their families, who, for 50 years, have fervently dedicated themselves to service and to their country, that I have created SEAL.  I proudly add its image to the Commemorative Nutcracker Collection.

In my hometown there lived a man who when you said the words "Dum Dum", would magically pull one from his sport coat pocket and present it to you. We recently lost Mr. Ted Spangler, but the memory of his car full of candy, and his Dum Dum offerings will never fade. This painting honors him, and his family who have created candy in Bryan, Ohio, for over 100 years.
